The Government of the People’s Republic of China is offering Twenty (20) scholarships for the academic year 2022/2023 for Undergraduate, Masters and Doctoral programs eligible to Kenyans.
A. ELIGIBILITY
Undergraduate
The applicant should meet the following requirements:
- Minimum KCSE mean Grade of B (plain)
- Not more than 25 years of age
- Have an original KCSE certificate
- Strong grades on major subjects that are key to the specialty preferred
- Completed secondary education in the last three (3) years
Masters
- Graduated with a Bachelors degree of at least Upper Second-Class honors for Masters
- Be under 35 years of age
PhD
- Be under 40 years of age.
- Hold a relevant Masters Degree from a recognized University.
B. ONLINE APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Step 1: Visit “CSC Study in China” website http://www.campuschina.org and click “Scholarship application for students.”
Step 2: Input personal details. Click ‘Edit Personal Details’
Step 3: Select the correct ‘Program Category’ Please select program category “Type A”
Step 4: Input the correct Agency Number. Your Agency number is 4041. Your ‘Program Category’ is Type A and ‘Agency number’ is: 4041. Once the correct ‘Agency Number’ is entered, the name of the agency will automatically emerge.
Step 5: Fill in the Online Application Form and Upload Supporting Documents truly, correctly and completely following the steps listed on the left of the page. Applicants are required to select a discipline before choosing their majors. Please refer to the Disciplines Index, which could be downloaded from Help, if you have any doubt about the disciplines and majors.
Step 6: Check each part of your Application carefully before submitting It. Click submit to submit your application. The submitted documents will be the only reference for the applied universities to confirm the admission.
Step 7: You can make changes to your application by clicking Withdraw and Edit the Application on the top of the page. But make sure to submit it again by clicking Submit after finishing all the changes. Otherwise, the retrieved application will become invalid and your new application will not be received either.
Step 8: You can download and print the completed Application Form by clicking print the Application Form.
Step 9: Send the paper application form and other supporting documents.
NOTE: Please use Firefox or Internet Explorer (11.o). Menu selection functions may not work in other browsers. Only Chinese and English are accepted for the online application.
C. SUBMISSION PROCEDURE.
All eligible candidates must read and follow the following guidelines strictly.
- After submission of the online application to the CSC, download the form together with the PRELIMINARY SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION FORM (available at: www.education.go.ke –under the scholarships theme).
- Complete the form Manually and submit both the online form and preliminary application form with certified copies of all your certificates and testimonials to:

- PhD applicants MUST submit their PhD proposal with the application form.
